Will photoshopped entries be accepted?
No... the idea is to make a parody using the tools the Strip Creator gives you. I think making fun of Beetle Bailey in Strip Creator format would be less funny if you could put Beetle Bailey himself in the strip.

But if you have a photoshopped comic you want to post as well, don't let me stop you.

1. The strip must parody a popular newspaper comic. "Popular" means it runs in more papers than the Bumble**** Daily Herald. If the judges don't get the joke, they're not likely to vote for you.

Do strips no longer actively in print count as well? Such as Calvin & Hobbes, Bloom County, and the like?

After much hand wringing, this is my entry. I wanted to do one about Dilbert too, but I have to stay true to the classics.

I am far too drunk to compose a cartoon right now.

My goodness, I'm sloppy drunk...

...and yet, I still proofread.

Take a lesson, skagg.

Yeah. I tried and tried to find inspiration, but none was forthcoming. I did the best I could.

I toyed with Garfield as well, but couldn't come up with a good angle for a parody.

I'm gonna have to go with Drex too. That even sounds like an excerpt from a Far Side comic. Plus LadyJ misspelled thought, which is just inexcusable.

I thought this up when I was thinking about what I'd do with those rules, so I figured I'd post it.

LadyJ succumbs to Drexle's second shutout of the Cup, marking the last we'll see of anyone who participated in Cup I. Congratulations and thanks to you both.

Round 6: NastyPope vs. kaufman

1. The strip must take place in a movie theater.

2. The strip or a character must make fun of (a) superstition(s), or superstitious people, in some way.

3. A natural disaster must either (1) take place during the strip, or (2) have taken place in the strip's recent past. You can stretch the word "recent" a little bit if you want, but it definitely has to have happened within the past few days.

4. At least one character must speak only in words containing an odd number of letters.

I know that last one is going to get a lot of complaining, but I think it'll be easier than you might suspect. And remember the character only needs to appear once.

Well, here goes. That five letter word rule did suck, especially not being able to use words like 'to' 'of' 'or'.

btw tristadictadectaphobia is a 'superstitious phobia of the number 13' for those that didnt know.
