Stan was the ultimate huckster. The shim-sham artist. The guy selling boner cream on the corner to the guys coming out of the steel mill. Yeah, Kirby and Ditko were much more important to early Marvel than they're given credit for (especially Jack), but who would've heard of their work without Stan doing the shilling. His verbosity, his slickness, his refusal to take what he was doing entirely seriously was the glue that held Marvel together. And that's why I love the guy.
I want to know why, on Who Wants To Be A Superhero, Stan Lee is shilling the DC model of superhero when he is known for the angst-ridden average joe superhero.
You're not a total failure. You're better than, for instance, zainilator (see http://www.stripcreator.com/forums/showthread.php?postnum=253861). And what's wrong with discussing comic books? Sure, they had nothing to do with the original topic, but at least you won the thread before it went in a different direction.
