I'm just gonna make up my own rules since it's hot outside. MAke a comic abour stripcreator politics and make it funny. We all know the shadow in fighting, we all know the behind the scenes intrigue. We all know who is really who and you aren't tricking anyone with your new aliases. Make it funny and only one entry per person. The series thing is out of control. No series. No series at all. Just one comic.

A tough decision for me, as both comics reflected the site's politics well (as I am familiar with them), and I'd actually consider this a tie.  So, in the spirit of the contest, I'm going to go with ladyjaydotnet for this round, since she once mentioned she was a fan of my comics. Viva Politics!

I'm not offended, but I'm bewildered by all this abstention.

The thing is, neither I nor tripod chose the topic. We just did our best to operate within the parameters and be funny at the same time. That's all anyone does in a comic competition. If the topic were armadillos eating ice cream, I would do my best to bring funny under those guidelines as well.

The honest truth is that every person who says "I'm refusing to vote because site politics are boring/unfunny/unfair/targeting me" is feeding into the ridiculousness of the site's politics with their very actions, and contributing to the melodramatic malarky by doing so.

It's an either-or decision. Politics aside, who constructed a better joke? Whose punchline was zingier? Whose comic title is better? Failing that, close your eyes and pick at random. But please, please don't contribute to the very thing you're decrying, because it's pure whiny idiocy.

That just had to be said. Now that I have thoroughly alienated most of voters, I'll step back and watch the votes come in for tripod. :) Don't worry, crabby... I'll stick around and vote in the rest of the cup, and my votes will have nothing to do with politics.
