all right, kiddies. now that you've passed all the figgy pudding out of your system, it's time to find out who was naughty, and who was stupid. as there was a large number of entries overall, there was also a large number of good ones, and that made it pretty tough, so here comes a large number of honorable mentions.

first off, the "nearly made me spit out my eggnog" awards:

Kajun Firefly - Why must the good die young? - "festive blow-job" is a really funny phrase.
fuzzyman - Side Effects - "cookie fart" is a really funny phrase
fpd - Reindeer Games pt 11 - by royal proclamation of his majesty habnem the great, the phrase "some kind of flying mule deer" must appear in every comic from now on.

yeah, hey everybody--perhaps i didn't make myself clear, but the reason why this contest ran so long is because i wasn't at home, and thus didn't have consistent internet access, until last night. i agree that there's no good reason to have contests, as a general rule, run longer than 3-4 days, but the comic cup got suspended too--the holidays just aren't a good time for stripping.

In honor of winning CC 88, I just drank an entire bottle of cheap California "champagne." And it just so happened to coincide with the New Year! How ironic is that? OK, well, not very.

But the theme for Comic Contest 89, which I will announce shortly, is in honor of the Year 2002!

And I should probably announce that before I hit the egg nog!
