This one follows the rules of CC XIII, which called for reference-based humor, and CC 41, whose rules were:

quote:

1. Use "robot1-1" and/or "robot1-2" from the "explodingdog" series at least once. Any other characters can be used in addition to robot1.
2. Use any of (and only) the following backgrounds: "spaceship1," "moonscape," and "planet." No other backgrounds are permitted.
3. Somewhere in the dialog (or in a thought bubble) of your comic, include the number "42."
4. No cornholing, donkey sodomy, or alien anal-probing. (Use of sodomy that does not include the Tobor [redrobot], wigudonkey, or grey characters is acceptable, though.)

Some good stuff as usual, although I was secretly hoping that som collosal geek would make a series that was compliant with all 99 rules sets.

Notable entries included:

israphael, Fun at the Old Folk's Home: "We had to create comedy using the basic elements: donkeys and sodomy." Ha, ha!

evil_d, The Human Snowball: Simple, and uses the rules nicely.

Bazilla, 7 rules follower: I may not have gotten my 99 rules follower, but I do appreciate the effort involved in doing seven.

Drexle, Untitled: Cute, but you should have chosen a higher comic number.

fuzzyman, It's The End Of The World As We Know It: Scary indeed.

kaufman, 20 Years Down the Road: One of life's great mysteries.

And the winner of Comic Contest 100 is....

Well, this one is a bit late. But here it is anyway.

This one follows CC66, "Evil, Be Thou My Good," and CC80, "I Believe the Children are Our Future." The rules for CC66 are these:

quote:

Show someone making some kind of deal with the forces of evil (doesn't necessarily have to be the devil) in order to receive something they want.

Quote from the Bible.

Use either the hell background or the satan character (or both) at least once.

Use at least one naughty word (I suspect many of you would do this anyway).

The rules for CC80 are these:

quote:

1)Use a children's story or nursery rhyme as the basis for your strip.

2)Use at least one of the forum users character. Extra points if you include some aspect of their character.

Try to avoid the stock pieces of humor (ie, Tobor cornholing, wirthling sucking, and bad spellings of Lousiania). I thought of outlawing puns, however I know that neither Kaufman or Kramer_vs_Kramer can't resist.

And here's the nursery rhyme this is based on:

Little Bunny Foo Foo
hoppin' through the forest,
scoopin' up the field mice
and boppin' em on the head.

And down came the Blue Fairy, and she said:
Little Bunny FooFoo
I don't want to see you
scoopin' up the field mice
and boppin' em on the head.

And now I'll give you three chances, and if you keep it up, I'll turn you into a goon.

Little Bunny Foo Foo
kept hoppin' through the forest,
kept scoopin' up the field mice
and boppin' em on the head.

And down came the Blue Fairy, and she said:
Little Bunny FooFoo
I don't want to see you
scoopin' up the field mice
and boppin' em on the head.

And now I'll give you two more chances, and if you do that again,
I'll turn you into a goon.

Little Bunny Foo Foo
kept hoppin' through the forest,
kept scoopin' up the field mice
and boppin' em on the head.

And down came the Blue Fairy, and she said:
Little Bunny FooFoo
I don't want to see you
scoopin' up the field mice
and boppin' em on the head.

And now I'll give you one more chance, and if you keep it up,
I'll turn you into a goon.

Little Bunny Foo Foo
kept hoppin' through the forest,
kept scoopin' up the field mice
and boppin' em on the head.

And down came the Blue Fairy, and she said:
Little Bunny FooFoo
I don't want to see you
scoopin' up the field mice
and boppin' em on the head.

You disobeyed me three times, so now I'm gonna turn you into a GOON!

Hey fpd, isn't there a moral to that Bunny Foofoo story?

Not only did no-one use the rules from my CC, I didn't even get an honourable mention....

*sob*

But, well done Perm, I laughed at that comic and was going to post "PERM SHOULD WIN FOR THAT!", but decided not to.

I didn't think about doing a series, give me some time and I might give it a go, it could be hard though making it keep sense as characters would need to be swapped to follow rules, I might try later.

Maybe I'll try it if I get a chance -- if so, it'll show up in Read My Damn Comics.

BTW, since fpd hasn't responded, the moral of his story is ...

I've started writing the rules up, wrote the first 35 down, though I may have trouble making references to certain things, though thinking CC 12 I think it is has to rhyme, so mixing Burma shave with that should be easy. I've got ideas, whether they work or not when I write the other 64 rules. Good luck Kaufman as well! I wasn't sure which forum to post it but it souns as if I should do it in the "read my damn comics forum"

Good luck Kaufman, I've given up, after re-reading CC 50 over and over I still don't get it. Not sure what the rulesto your CC 51 were either, and there's also the photoshop one, so it's up to you to fullfill our needs.

Apparently, the page I copied and pasted it from didn't include the moral. But here it is:

"Hare today, goon tomorrow".

I never actually knew this nursery rhyme until last night. I read it, because I remembered Wenisinfur's strip about Crabby, in which she calls him Little Bunny Foo Foo. However, as you can probably tell, I didn't make my strip about Crabby. It's my own little tribute to the Herrimanesque perversity of another strip creator.

Back when the comic contests were back in the twenties or thirties, I had this idea and started trying to make one myself. I think I finally gave up. But if anyone could do it, it's the man who fit all the presidents into one strip.
