The only thing that worries me about Wrestlemania is the possibility of Goldberg showing up. I was hoping I would never have to see him again.

What's the deal with Goldberg anyway? There's so much hype around him but I've never actually seen him do anything and nobody seems to tell stories about awesome things he did. They're all just "Ooh, Goldberg" and I'm like "He sounds Jewish, that's pretty cool" and they say I don't get it.

Half of the wrestling industry is about keeping up the hype. It's supposed to make you think that wrestling is exciting or something.

Wasn't his trademark move, "The Spear", just like a rugby tackle or something?

Yes, they had a totally gay entrance for him aswell, where he'd be walked out of the locker room by a bunch of security and stuff.

He was pretty much just ass, the WWF mocked him with "Gillberg", some jobber named Dwayne Gill who was done up to look like a really skinny crap version of Goldberg.

This is the first I've heard about him coming back. Maybe I'll get to see that Goldberg/Austin match I've always wanted.

Though the WCW guys I really want to see again are Crowbar, Psychosis and Norman Smiley.

I never liked Steve Austin, and Goldberg seemed like just an imitation, so I never really cared much for him either.

He was shit, in fact, worse than shit. He was like that slimey light brown dog-shit that when you step on it, it's reddish on the inside and gets all over your shoes.

Or like that shit you take after a night of eating too much in a restaurant and drinking too much in a club afterwards, you know, when you feel sick and sit there, spraying the pan with undigested pieces of the over-priced beef you consumed the night before?

But actually, the fact that they're "cool" (i.e. the right attitude) is probably the most important thing; the "undefeated streaks" just sweeten the package.

There was also the Jackhammer, which was suposedly a new innovative move at the time, but it was really just a brainbuster. totally gay.

Bill Goldberg was really WCW Austin cause we wasn't cool or even likable he just sort of looks like Austin. The people who like Goldberg for the most part fall into three groups:
1. Old Woman
2. Little Kids
3. Gay Men
These people almost always only cheer for the good guys anyway so I don't pay any attention to them. Anyone with half a mind who watched Goldberg wrestle knows he's shit. I think the WWE would be making a HUGE mistake bringing him in. It might even go as bad as Scott Steiners return. I've heard rumors Goldberg will be at Wrestlemania. Hopefully not.

I want to see Goldberg Vs Andrew W.K. in a hardcore street fight at Wrestlemania.

The bookers. Since he was one of WCW's main draws and they wanted him to stay that way, they gave him huge pushes all the time.

And the people who just watch wrestling to enjoy it. But they don't count.

And like Jerry Lawler said in his book, being a good showman will get you farther in a wrestling career than being a good wrestler.

Goldberg wasn't much of a showman at all. He had a big flashy intro but thats it. He gave the most boring promos ever heard and had little to no charisma. He also proved to not be as big of a draw as everyone believed in the long run since the house show gates went down considerably during his title reign.

On a side note, I care way to much about wrestling.

Is Hacksaw Jim Dougan a relation to Andy?, and does Roddy Piper still make movies? "They Live" was sublime.

I don't know if Piper still makes movies. But I don't think Dougan and Duggan are related. On a side note I saw Hacksaw wrestle on TNA a couple weeks ago and he looks the same as he did years ago. It's good to see he's recovered from the cancer he had.

In my opinion there is a fine line between wrestling and gay porn.
