I have won CC84, CC90, CC105, WW29, WW32, ICC22, OPC20, CC328, CC389, and CC440. I enjoy lampoon and parody. I have especially enjoyed the first 23 issues of Mad which I have as large hardcover reprints. I regularly read Sinfest, Non Sequitur, Dilbert, Pearls Before Swine, Monty (formerly Robotman), Lio, Diesel Sweeties, We the Robots, Boy on a Stick and Slither, Basic Instructions and some others. I'm also a fan of such discontinued strips as Calvin & Hobbes, The Far Side, Bloom County, Outland, Opus, Pogo, and Krazy Kat.

So, after spending days and nights drinking under the Bodhi tree with my good friend Mara, I came up with these four noble truths.
1) Life is suffering. 2) The cause of suffering is consciousness.    3) Freedom from consciousness comes from the attainment of oblivion.
And 4) the way to oblivion is to follow the 8-fold path of drinking yourself into misunderstanding, thoughtlessness, slurred speech, inaction, shiftlessness, laziness, mindlessness and distraction.

This comic won CC 328. The theme of this contest was an historical event that was changed by binge drinking. The event I chose was the founding of Buddhism, when Buddha first gave his sermon on the four noble truths after meditating under the Bodhi tree. In this alternate history, the demon Mara has successfully tempted Siddhartha with liquor, and Siddhartha ends up founding a parody of Buddhism that is more or less its opposite.
