"Nothing in the history or language of the Fourteenth Amendment persuades us that the closing of the Jackson pools constitutes a denial of the equal protection of the laws."
Well, that's nice, but can you offer any interpretation? Criticism? Anything?
Uh...um...duh..."Nothing in the history or language of the Fourteenth Amendment persuades us that the closing of the Jackson pools constitutes a denial of the equal protection of the laws."
Why, of course they are! I can tell just by looking at the color of their skin that the gentleman on the right is oppressed...
...while the one on the left is a member of a privileged class. Yes, skin color and race indicate essential differences.
Yep, these two individuals are members of completely different groups. Why, it's almost as if one isn't on the level of the other, as if one isn't even the same species as the other.
And, of course, since one group is unable to fend for itself, we must take care of it. Yes, that's right, we're affirming Dred Scott. Taney was right after all! Imagine that!
I would like to discuss necessity and sufficiency, especially vis-a-vis these "Marriage is love" things I've been seeing.
In order for "Marriage is love" to imply "All those in love should be married (or be allowed to marry)" we must establish that love implies marriage.
In other words, the existence of love is sufficient to establish a right to marriage.
Though one may argue that love is a necessary condition for marriage (not true, but I accept it arguendo), no one has proved to me that love creates a right to marry the object of that love.
Do you love your mother? Your dog? And, if they love you, doesn't that meet a sufficient condition for the right to marry?
Please, understand logic and have precise definitions of words before you try to argue. I truly hate having to own you over and over again.
Dude, stop trying to sound smart with all those big words.
...the fuck? Did you graduate high school? Your extremely limited vocabulary is not my fault.
Oh yeah, well you aren't funny at all! Ever!
Yeah, I've seen what you goons crank out every day, and I've seen what earns a high rating. I'll stick with actually being funny instead of participating in your circle-jerk.
Yeah, well, I could totally own you but I don't have the time.
Yes, you certainly aren't wasting shitloads of time on the forums or anything. Keep the envy to a minimum plz thnx.
Excuse me? What fails to meet your standards - the free computers just for you commuters, the free cable, the new chairs, plenty of DSA funding? What is it?
Well...I...buh...
Yeah, you totally screwed up somewhere, because you transferred TO Albright. TO Albright. So don't give me any shit.
You know, the Egyptian culture must be the most interesting of ancient cultures.
Yeah, gonna have to call bullshit on that.
Why do you say that?
The Greeks were superior in every way, considering they invented natural philosophy, and they made such advances in geometry and algebra that they effectively invented those fields as well.
I see, so you prefer the ancient culture that considered pederasty a noble and desirable activity.
