Carl and melanie, who were assumed dead, somehow managed to get absorbed into their creation, wtfru 2, before they were blown apart by the green blob from beyond the stars
But while wtfru 2 ravaged the land, Hand puppet master began sending out it's army of blobs.

However, brooke and byron too began a quest to destroy something. The blobs for them however, and they can. Because they can run fast.
