Did you know that The particles in a gas move quickly and can spread apart from each other
OH thats really cool, but did you know tha The particles of a liquid are able to move past each other and move quickly
WOW really thats intresting, also The particles of a solid are not able to move out of their positions relative to one another, but do have small vibrational movements
oh really we should learn more about this
yeah we bshould but we will have to know that in a substance that it can go through something called a phase change
oh yeah i remember learning about that it is where a substance changes from ether a solid liquid or a gas and it changes without a chemical changes

We should look at the phase changes of mercury
ok if we freeze mercury then it becomes a solid and mercury freezing point is about -39c
that means that is forming into solid from a liquid but it has no exo or endothermic reactions
oh ok now we should see that the melting point of mercury is about -38c it then becomes a liquid and that means it is endothemic and is taking in heat
yeah which means that the particles in a liquid are starting to speed up but, if we boil the liquid at 356c it will give off a gas
and that means that it is exothemic because it is giving off heat, and the particles in gas move very fast
