Friar Tetzel was selling indulgences to raise money for his cathedral Pay my indulgences so i can rebuild ST. Peter's Cathedral in Rome You are not using indulgences in the right way	Friar Tetzel told poeple that by paying his indulgences you could buy your way into heaven which Martin Luther found wrong By paying my indulgences you can get into heaven even if you are a sinner Indulgences are a pardon and are not meant to affect gods right to judge	When Martin Luther posted his 95 Thesis on the door of the church someone printed more copies and spread the 95 Thesis across Germany you can not chnage my tactics i will write the 95 thesis explainging your wromg doings

At first the Church thought Martin Luther was just a monk that needed punishing but then the pope realized that the monk was a serious threat You're just a rebellious monk who needs to be punished My ideas will get more and more popular through out Germany	Martin Luther believed and actually suggested that christians drive the Pope from the church by force You'll be gone	in 1520 Luther and his Wittenburg students gathered around a bonfire and threw the Pope's decree in the fire, Martin Luther was then excommunicated If you don't take back what you have sai i will excommunicate you

Emporer Charles V summoned Martin Luther to Worms in 1521 to recant what he had said but Luther refused You will come stand trial in Worms and recant your statements I refuse to recant my statements

Emporer Charles V summoned Martin Luther to Worms in 1521 to recant what he had said but Luther refused You will come stand trial in Worms and recant your statements I refuse to recant my statements	Charles V issued the imperial order "Edict of Worms" which made Luther an outlaw and heretic. No one is to give shelter or food to Luther I am making an imperial order, you are an outlaw and a heretic	Prince Frederick the Wise of Saxony housed and fed Luther for over a year in one of his mighty castles. While hiding Luther translated the New Testament into German so the people could read it There are still poeple that follow me and i will show all

When Henry VIII wrote his attack on Luther the Pope named him Defender of Faith for his support and loyalty you are now the defender of faith	Henry wanted to take on a younger queen for a chance at a male heir but the Pope woyuld not anuul his marriage so not to offend Catherines nephew Emporer Charles V please Pope anuul myu marriage to Queen Catherine I will not anull your marriage to Catherine	In 1529 Henry took steps to solve his marriage problem on his own I will do this myself then

In 1529 Henry called the Parliament together and asked it to pass a set of laws to end the Popes power in England we must come to session Reformation Parliament	The act of Supremacy was passed in 1534 and stated that the people had to make an oath to recongnize the divoce and accept Henry, not the Pope, as head of the of England's church I am marrying Anne Boleyn now that my i am divorced with Catherine We have voted that the Act of Supremacy shall be passed	Thomas More faught this act and wouold not take oath and was arrested because of this. In 1535 he was found of high treason and executed My faith will not allow me to accpet the terms of the act and i refuse to take your oath you are arrested and to be inprisoned in the Tower of London

in 1547 Edward VI became ruler when Henry VIII died but Edward was only 9 so his Protestant advisors helped him rule but faught illness and only ruled for 6 years it is your turn to rule I will be Protestant	Mary, daughter of Catherine of Aragon, took the throne in 1533 and returned the English CHurch to the power of the Pope. Had many protestants executed and then died in 1558 it is your turn to rule I will be Catholic	In 1558, Elizebeth, Anne Boleyns duaghter inherited the throne. in 1559 parliament followed the queens wishes and set the Anglican church, under Elizebths power the only legal church in England. it is your turn to rule I will be Protestant but my church will accept the beliefs of both protestants and catholics
