Did you hear that there is more than 2 terabytes of relevant material for production?
Yeah. I know. That's why I'm taking my laptop to the men's room to search the ladders.
But I don't get it. Why aren't you happy? I told my wife to go ahead and put a deposit on a pool. And I'm just a temp here....
Yes, but I'm on the priv review and there are 7 joint defense agreements with more than 50 parties, 80 or so law firms strung out over the past 20 years. And my HEAD HURTS.
In that case, this is Chuck. He worked on the Enron priv review. He can help you with anything you need.
So grasshopper....there is a question about joint defense agreements?

We've been given over 800 boxes of paper to scan, Dave. I don't know what I'm going to do about this! We have no budget for it.

I know what I said! But now I want the Excel files as .tiffs as well as native. You're the PM. Make it happen!
Okay. *sigh* but that's going to take longer. I'll get back to you after I talk to the tech.
I'm so sorry Gorp. I know the Conglomo delivery is nearly finished. But they changed their minds and want the Excel files imaged after all.
No problem. I'll have it in a half hour.
Wow! That's fast! How do you do it?
Simple. I just give them the same unintelligible output for all of the files and they go back to looking at the native and never know the difference. Plus, I only have to process one file. Win-win.

It says here that you guys promised we would demo the new eDiscovery tool for the VC partners by the end of next week.
I know, right?
Do you think you can actually be ready? I asked you yesterday where you were on the UI and you said you hadn't even started.
I know, right?
what're you doing in the trash can?
I just thought I'd check out where my career and reputation are likely to be living after next week.

You bet Alex. So long as he tells us why he's been bumping around in that trash can for three days now.
I told you. It's a study in perspective. Now show me the presentation please.
What did you think? Did you like how all the screens went whoosh?
Did I just watch a bunch of our competitor software's screen caps with our logo branded on them? In PowerPoint? And was that a car horn?

Wow Gorp. You're being totally mature about this. Big improvement from throwing your bolt over this kind of stuff.
Nah. I encrypt the output and give a password that's one character off. Then I wait the same amount of time they jerked me around on the processing instructions before correcting it.
Well, that's one way to keep yourself from going into a murderous rampage....I guess.

My internal life is out of control and without form - as is my professional life....
Not sure what to say to that, dude.
Maybe if I bought a new day planner....you know...the kind with paper, and pens and fun crayons....Yes! I think that might fix everything!
