	Hey brady do you know you this field is the same as a number line


	What do you mean coach a number line is on a paper on ruler


	When you travel thru the feild its like traveling in a number line


	Ohh i get it so if i start at the middle of the field and travel 6 steps up then am at positive 6


	Yeah there you go lets practice with this some more

	Yeah there you go now lets practice with this some more on the feild

set 2c subtraction

	Say if you were to run 16 yards to the right and subtract by a negative number if the positive number is bigger than the negative number then your answer will be positive


	So if both signs are positive, the answer will be positive and if both signs are negative, the answer will be negative


	Yeah but, if the signs are different subtract the smaller absolute value from the larger absolute value

15-(-9)=24


	For example If you run 15 yards then ran back 9 yards your answer is positive because if you put together the negatives it will become positive

This step in training you will learn about addition


	OK Brady now were moving on to Addition


	Isn't this the opposite of subtraction

19+(-5)=14


	Yes but this time we are not decreasing, lets see what you already know about addition


	so if I run 19 yards and and I add -5 yards then I will be at 24 yards


	Not quite see if the positive is next to the negative then they are unlike signs


	oh i understand, so your saying your supposed to turn the signs into there opposites

	This next step is multiplying integers, when you multiplying two integers with different signs, the result is always negative and if they are the same they are always positive


	so if i had -5 times 4 it will be positive 20
