It was dark and stormy night when our young molecular biologist Steve got a phone call from local police department Whi decide to kill old man at two in the morning? You better be ready kid.Sobody killed old rick man and they all count on us to catch a killer	When they got in the house , they saw the body of old man laying on the floor of library We better find all the eveidence that we can tonight it seems like this is going to be a hard case Don't you worry! If there is any blood bedides old man's, we will use DNA analysis to cathch a killer	Since thet start working as partners, Steve and Dr. Dex solved many murder cases using DNA fingerprinting. Dna samples is used to compare DNA samples from defendent, victim amd blood from crime scene. Look Dr. Dex it looks like there some blood on the door knob I will take this sample "A" and send it to our lab..maybe this is not old man's blood and maybe it will take us to the killer

While Dr.Dex is busy collecting the evidence from the crime scene, Steve decided to interrogate people who were in the house when old man was killed. So you called the police. tell me how long did you work for the old man as his personal butler? And also who was in the house at the time whne you made a phone call? I 've been workin for about five years for Mr. Collen. He was a wonderfull man. I don't know why sobody would kill him. ..I was downstarirs and Mrs. Collen was upstairs.	Oh, I didn't know that Mr. Collen had a wife..Interesting? And how long they were married? Oh , I would say about a year and a half. When his first wife died he got remarried. New Mrs. Collen was much younger then him and also she is very pretty.	But Steve is still not sure about the butler so he decided to ask him one more question. Thanks for your cooperation. And one last quetion I noticed that you are holding your left arm. May I ask what happend? Oh, that.. It's nothing I just cut myself yesterday morning while chopping the eggs form Mr. Collen's salad.

And finally Steve got to met Mrs. Collen. He was amazed by her looks and he wonderd how prettly girl like her was marred to old man... Ooo, you are Mrs. Collen...OK..I would like to ask you few quetions, off course if you don't mind. Oh, I don't mind darling. Just call me Laura. Mrs. Collen sounds to official.	Laura Collen didn't look sad at all ,or at least Steve thought that she was acting maybe little to normal for sobody who just lost her husband. Are you sad? You don't look like you just lost your husband. Tell me where have you been at 2 in the morning? Oh,that is so cruel to say to me. Maybe I don't show how much i am suffrenig right now, but for sure I loved my husband very much. I still can't believe what happend..i am still in shock. I was asleep	Maybe Steve's coments went too far this time.... Oh, I am sorry. Please don't cry..I don't know what to say..I didn't mean like that Smrc, smrcc....You sad enough....I know now that verybody thinks that is me who killed my husband...

After Steve finished interogating the suspects in this case he returned to the lab to analyze obtained blood sample from the crime scene.. I don't know Steve ..Who do you think killed the old man? Faithfull butler or young wife who expects to inherit Mr. Collen's money? let's do our job and find out! I am confused ...I don't want to make wrong assumption	Dr. Dex and Steve are getting ready to start molecular forensics Are you ready to start? This time you will make agarose gel...But first set up the gel casting tray! I remember how to do that. I just cannot put the comb too close to the end of a tray like last time..I will be carefull, I promise	Make sure that when the gel is ready, to gently remove the comb and make sure not to rip off wells. And be carefull with the gel when ends are removed.You know what happend last time.. yeah, I almost forgot..last time I had the tray with gel and I slightly move my hand and gel ended up on the floor..

After the gel was done, Steve inserted the DNA samples with the pipette throught the surface of the buffer... I was afraid that you might punch the pipet tip through the bottom of the gel, but you did a good job!! Now i can close the top of the electrophoresis chamber and leave it alone until the bromphenol is about 2/3 the way down the gel.	After about 45 minutes... I cannot wait to find out how is the killer. The gel electrophoresis is done and you Steve can remove the casting tray and slide the gel onto UV transiluminator!!	the tension is in the air.. Oh,!!I can't believe..We have a killer. The sample that is found on the door knob belong to the butler, who sad that he cut himslef while he was chopping the eggs. DNA fragment match perfectly with the butler's DNA fragments.

But, I didn't do it.. It was his wife..she was after his money..she set me up.. Sir, you are under arrest form murder of Mr. Collen..You have a right to remain silent ..	And at the end there are still a little bit of uncertainty. Despite reliability of DNA fingerprinting, there are some flaws like human error, flawed evidence that need to be considered. Are we 100% sure that butler is the murderer of Mr. Collen? We can't be 100% my dear Steve. It is possible that butler has the twin brother and that their DNA can be indentical.	Using this analysis, we create a large copies of a single piece of DNA. it is usefull way to produce large quanities of rare DNA fragments.

Steve, I hope that you leant a lot today. I think that you will use this knowlege to solve future mysteries. Enough about DNA... all I want to do is to see Mrs. Collen...	Unexpected twist in the life of young biologist Steve Would you like to go out with me sometimes, Mrs. Collen...I wanted to say Laura?! Sure, I would love to go out with you...You look so much better tahn my first husband..
