Just a few words of advice to state the unwritten, for the sake of all the newbies who come through this site every day:

1) Please don't self-deprecate.
2) Post comics like this: [ comic ] *comic ID number from end of URL* [ /comic ] but without the spaces. We're likely to be easier on the grading curve if we don't have to hunt for the funny.
3) Keep trying. People *want* to be amused.

How do members get rated?

Self-deprecate - to put yourself down, i.e. "My comics suck, I am not funny, but read them any way."

In addition, I have to say that a common mistake is the over-use of narration boxes. Your comics should be able to stand alone without you having to explain them. If you can't make sense of the strip without naration, it isn't a good strip to start with.

Of course, there are exceptions, but that is a general truism

Tis true Crunchy One, I, too in the beginnings made the mistake of using a lot of narration boxes, just try to use less narration, and if you can, less words. In addition, members get rated by donated people, CrunchyCheese for instance. Hope that helps! =D
