Contest 101, huh? That got me thinking about the classic movie "101 Dalmations" (the original, animated version). Which reminded me of the live-action remake, and subsequent live-action sequel, "102 Dalmations".

Hollywood really has run out of ideas. Sequels that don't need to be made; re-makes that should have never happened; cartoons and TV shows made into movies. The brain trust is all but dried up.

So - my Fine Photoshopping Fellows and Females, you task is to make me a movie poster.

re-cast a classic movie - i.e Pauly Shore starring in Chinatown?

or

Make a movie poster for a sequel - like "Rocky part XXVII"

or

A movie poster for a TV show, cartoon, or comic book character to come to the big screen. (Beetle Bailey: The Movie!)

Just use the same creative talents those Hollywood producers get paid zillions of dollars for.

There is a super-secret movie that gets double bonus points. If no one has used the movie by Monday - I will give a hint.

Judging will be next Wednesday morning.

ACTION!

Should have never been made in the first place, but if it was ever re-made, this is how I'd cast it:

CUT CUT CUT!

RULES CLARIFICATION:

Original rules call for either re-casting a classic or making a sequel. Does re-titling fit the rules? Probably not. Judd Hirsch in "Battlefield Earth" = compliant. Kermit in "A Clockwork Green" = not so much.

BUT - the subtle re-titling is funny. And, I guess the argument could be made that "Citizen Kahn" is a 're-imagining' or sequel to "Citizen Kane".

So what does all this mean. It means that I will accept the re-titling under the auspices of a sequel or re-invention of a classic. Sure, its a loophole, so exploit it as you see fit.

Looks like you tried to link directly to your PC. The image needs to be uploaded to some sort of online host, then linked.

DragonXero

tau926, you need to upload the picture to a website. You can't post it off your hard drive like that. I have no suggestions for where to put it, but be aware that most free sites don't let you link the picture to other sites, like this one. I would suggest just finding a really cheapass webhost and posting your entries from there.
If you have any friends with websites (not geocities or anything like that, a decent webhost is best), ask them if you can use a little bit of space for your images, for now. A decent webhost will cost around $4-$10/month (american), I've heard of some that charge less, but I don't know of them. I host my site and all my images through a friend's host, but again, it's not that expensive to just get a host yourself.

Good luck.

Yeah, you should be able to find something fairly inexpensive. Shop around, seriously. Geocities sucks.

Oh yeah, try to get a copy of Dreamweaver if you wanna make a page. It's a WYSIWYG editor, but it also has a code/page layout, so you can actually see what you're coding as you put it into the page. Pretty nice if you ask me.

Cut

Take ten people.

I was going over my schedule with my assistant today, and I saw that Monday is just jammed tight. Meetings with studio execs, producers, writers, all kinds of major players. So, I won't be here to guide you and to give you the hint for your super secret spoiler movie.

Ever had a shitty job? I know I did.

I used to work at this stupid burger joint in high school. I was assistant manager, so I was making decent money for a high school kid.

Yeah. At the time I relly thought I had it made. The manager liked me, and, for a high school, kid, it was a good bit of money.

Then, one day when I was working the breakfast shift, this jerkwad comes up to the counter. He had eaten about half of his breakfast and decided he didn't like it. So, he starts demanding his money back.

Needless to say, we got into an argument about how he was being rude, and wanted a refund on a half-eaten meal. The guy screams at me "It says 100% guaranteed, you moron".

So I fire back "Mister, if you don't shut up, I'm going to kick 100% of your ass!"

He gets the manager - the manager fires me on the spot. What a dick.

And you know, I could have been something at that burger joint. WHo knows, maybe I would have been manager someday.

Anyway, I wound up here, making movies. Not much different either.

Alright, well I guess that is the end of your 10 people. Get back to work so we can wrap this thing by Wednesday.

CUT

That's a wrap. Great job everyone. I think we have managed to produce a quality product here.

Who won? Well, isn't it just an honor to be nominated? No? Fine.

Here are the winners

KCF was the only entrant to use the Super Secret Spoiler Movie "Fast Times at Ridgemont High". Bonus points there. But, later losing the Bonus Points for Photoshopping Ray Walston's head over Phoebe Cates' body. You can just rock me to sleep tonight.

for Best Use of Nathan Lane in a Photoshop the winner is Kung Chi Fu for "Lawrence of Arabia."

The Ingmar Bergman Award for Most Incredibly Opaque Submission goes to DragonXero for "Misanthropic Paradise."

The Winning Our Hearts and Mindsaward goes to Riparian for "Repo Williams - The Adventure Continues." I always wondered why the adventure began but never went any where...

Best Use of Kermit in a Disturbing Re-make goes to Rabid Weasel for "A Clockwork Green."

Finally, the big winner Best Picture goes to Kung Chi Fu for "Braveheart II = If It's Not Scottish, It's Crap!"

Thanks for participating everyone. I look forward to PV102!
