I recently had to switch the stripcreator to my own hosting account as what used to be lowpass.net split up because of the Internet economy taking a nose-dive and there being no money in providing entertainment to people online anymore (in fact it costs you money!)
When we decided to dissolve lowpass, I considered taking the stripcreator down but in the end decided to foot the setup fee, tune the system up a bit and see how it went for a couple of months. I had resisted asking for donations before because we had bandwidth to spare and it wasn't costing me anything to have the site up.
Now, as you can see by the Paypal icons at the bottom of the stripcreator, it is.

I have an "advanced" account with pair networks. http://www.pair.com/pair/shared/. It's $17.95 US a month (I'm Canadian, so that's like $30 to me.) That allows for 200 megs of bandwidth a day. Extra bandwidth costs $0.40 a meg.
Our average for the last half of July (I switched the DNS over on the 14th) was 209 megs a day. I have a feeling I'm going to have to upgrade to the Webmaster account ($29.95 US a month) which allows for 400 megs a month, but I'll wait and see how August goes before I commit to paying that much.
So anyhow, anything you can contribute would be excellent and most appreciated. I'm not looking to turn a profit off this thing (I'm going to be a rock star for that), but breaking even would be utterly fantastic.
