The time stamps on the main forum page appear to be an hour earlier than in the individual forums. And on previewed posts, their also an hour behind. Fixable?

And now everything seems to be running on Central time for a change. Curiouser.

The other night I started horsing around trying to get the time right. Linux is great in that it makes even simple things like setting the time and date a tedious annoying chore.

Anyhow, SC previously tried to be on EST but I could not for the life of me get both the server and PHP to agree on being in EST. They seemed okay with CST though, so that's what I set it to.

Are the times consistent around the site? They seem okay to me I think.

They weren't to me. Although that may have been cache issues (?)

Hmm. Well, let me know if you keep seeing the time being off. It's such a pain in the ass.

It's the same time, but a timezone's difference. On the main forums page it says last post by (user) at 1:05, whereas you come to the forum and the last post was in fact at 12:05 by (user).

I like having everything in central time though. Then everything is in my timezone. And mom tried to tell me the world didn't revolve around me.... heh...

It's strange. I just clicked General Discussion, and saw last posts by topic in Eastern time. Read new posts, and they were logged in Central time. Back-buttoned to General Discussion ... Eastern. Back-buttoned to main forums page, Eastern. Went into Regarding ... Central. Back to main ... Eastern. Back into General ... Central.

Methinks Schroedinger's cat is on the prowl.

PS: The preview of this post is Eastern.

I think what's happening is that you are entering another dimension; a dimension not only of sight and sound but of mind.

It should pass in about half an hour.

On the down side I crashed the server today. On the up side, rebooting seems to have made PHP believe it's in EST.
