ivy I think your character is essentially the same as my character only.. with a golf club and recoloring. I doubt anyone could actually use the golf club as a joke in a strip considering few sterotypical golfers wear what that character is wearing. So what we are left with is an odd version of the hippy that nobody will use because she has a golf club in her hand.
Whaddya mean nobody will use? Other than me being the obvious, there's tons of potential for Ivy crossovers! What if you need a character to beat another with a blunt object in a strip! Thousands of uses! Besides, it could fit in the forumusers category with all the other people.
*goes to good-naturedly sharpen her golf club*
While I myself would probably never use the character (unless it was part of the rules in a Comic Contest) I still think there's a case for it to be included, I mean how many uses can anyone have for a guy in a Hawaiin shirt and a kilt?
That being said, I'm definitely on the side of more backgrounds rather than new characters, I tend to still use the same characters that were available when I first joined this site. The only new art I actually use are specific characters, like a choirboy, the policeman etc. More generic slightly different humans isn't what we need.
