Very clever.

1. It means that Goo-Goo and the robot are the owl's ancestors, and he is disappointed.

or,

2. It means that Goo-Goo and the robot were used to get our attention so that we would listen to the owl's speech about ancestors.

Actually, it has to do with him taking the first comic ever made on the site, which was a test of one frame, and adding to it.

In light of this, both of my suppositions can still be considered amazingly correct.
