...I...I am standing in a field...with...with a stick man with a blue...t-shirt on. He is p...pulling out a...hammer and...and hammering a nail into his head!

WOOOOOOW!!

A vision!
I might change my image! I could become

-----DIESEL THE MYSTERIOUS THINGY!!-----

Naw.

Have I actually fit in yet? 'Cos I don't think I am such a little (insert any over-used insult word) anymore.

I've been lurking (per my own advice) for some time now. Having witnessed the pure ferocity at which y'all (and Tobor, apparantly) ream newbies, I thought I'd try to slip in under the radar.

Until now it had worked. I was being sufficiently ignored.

Deisel, my advice still stands. Don't try so hard.

Then again, if you poke fun at me in your comics too much, you may not. It all depends on whether I'm in a "good mood" or not, I guess. :)

You have 33 comics, and you're trying to be gatekeeper? You haven't even got the Ring of Shemp yet, or fought the Blue Dragon of Limerick.

Yowza! ObiJo has made more comics about left-handed, three-nippled, diabetic, transsexual, Lithuanian playwrights who are afraid of spaghetti than LadyJ has made total. Get a-poppin', LadyJ! And don't give us that "quality vs. quantity" blah blah blah. I want to see three new crappy donkey sodomy comics from you by the end of the day...

Ah, my left-handed, three-nippled, diabetic, transsexual, Lithuanian playwrights who are afraid of spaghetti series, I remember it well. Especially the punchline:

What does right mind, middle nipple portend,
do I need my insulin?
Or is it that I've henceforth lost,
my falsies in the spaghetti sauce?
Spaghetti sauce?
AGGGHHH!!!!

It loses something in the translation.

au contraire. i never had the good fortune to see this series, but i think it translates perfectly.

i'm only testing the water here, but how does hoop licking rate as a means of entry into these forums?

What the fuck is hoop licking? And as for entry into the forums, it isn't like a border crossing, for christ's sake. Just don't act like an idiot and all will be well.

Ain't that the truth. Remember the obstacle course we had to run through after number 300? And that A-Team test was a bitch. But it was worth it. Obi and I know the secret nostril flare and we got a life time supply of oatmeal.

It's not really about quality vs. quantity, it's about motivation and priorities. I'm almost always motivated to converse and chat and stuff, but I get blocked whenever I make an effort to create. The comics I've already made came either from spontaneous motivation to create, or spontaneous motivation to be competitive - neither of which can be forced to any decent effect.

Alas... at that point it does become something of a quality vs. quantity thing, especially since comics cannot be deleted. I just do not relish the concept of one day looking at my collection of comics and saying to myself, "Hrm, I'm only proud of .0003% of these." The percentage is low enough as it stands.

Deisel, here's a bit of Zen for you: if you have to try to fit in, you never will. Only by not trying can you succeed in fitting in. Don't think of it as a goal. In fact, don't think of it, period.

I think I might have been annoyed by it when I read it the first time, but I knew saying something about it then would only make me look like a whiny git. Now I'm no longer annoyed by it and actually find it kind of amusing, and today I don't particularly care if anyone thinks I'm a git. I might, tomorrow.

DexX pulls everyone into a group hug

I know I have been depressed and grumpy lately, and it seems I am not the only one. At the risk of embarrassing myself, I just want to say that I really like all of you people. You stimulate my mind and make me laugh, and what's more you seem to think I am not so bad either, which is a bonus. Even when I am feeling really down, I know that the StripCreator forum will squeeze some chuckles out of me.

Thank you everyone for being so legendary.

300? You're not gonna make it past 150 and Dead Man's Whoopie Cushion with that kind of negativity.

P.S. DexX, you rock.

If only I were in Australia I'd give you a big hug, too. But one of those manly ones where we keep at least four feet of space between our privates and don't really touch much at all.

My comic cup entry is also about donkey sodomy. That makes FOUR new crappy donkey sodomy comics. Do I get extra credit?

No, but your total number of comics gets incremented by 1.

I know the type. Details instructions follow:

1) Two face each other, intending to hug.

2) Keeping bodies vertical, both men step toward each other until their bodies are as close as possible without being made to feel uncomfortable and gay (ie. approximately four feet).

3) Both men reach out their right hands and clasp them in a handshake. Warning: men with short arms may be forced to step closer than comfortable distance at this point.

4) While still shaking hands, both men twist their shoulder's to the right, so their left shoulders get closer.

5) Both reach out with their left hands and clap each other on the right shoulder.

6) Both men turn their faces sharply away from each other, avoiding eye contact and ensuring that their faces are not within a three feet of each other, as that would be really gay.

7) Heartfelt words are spoken at this point, which vary depending upon nationality. One example: Australia - "Yeah, good century mate, good one..."
