I witnessed this piece of film flatus this weekend and was violently overcome with nauseous convulsions afterwards. Robert Rodriguez gobbled a fat cock on this one, because El Mariachi was good, Desperado was pretty cool, and Once Upon a Time in Mexico was half-rotted, gangrenous, necrotic dingo anus.

Which is how most of the country is, unfortunately.

And it totally killed the line of "Once Upon a Time in America," "West," and "China," two of which rocked!

Everything Robert Rodriguez has done has sucked.

Even worse was "Some Kind of Monster", which absolutely solidified and rationalized every reason I already had to fucking hate Metallica.

PS - Kirk Hammett is a fucking faggot.

I dunno...Monster is great in that those of us who actually remember when Metallica was a fairly unknown, but well respected thrash metal band can compare those memories of footage of the members weeping into tissues about how "THE LIMOUSINE WAS SO SMALL!! IT DIDN'T EVEN HAVE ICE FOR THE DRINKS!!!!" and "WAAAHHH!! I HAD TO BUY THE LARGE SIZED JACUZZI INSTEAD OF THE EXTRA LARGE ONE!!!"

i actually liked the movie, or better, liked Depp's performance. Rodriguez no Leone, that's for sure, but i think he works best when he's on a tight schedule. I kind of like all the grim viem and the fact that the caractheres comes first, then the story. But i always did enjoy more books than films, anyway.

I liked Johnny Depp a lot, but not even he could rescue the movie from the depths of morbid suckitude. Also, there were too MANY characters. Every fucking character's got his or her own story, and there were too many different directions Rodriguez was trying to go in. If it were a more compelling story at the base of all the characters, like in the Brothers Hernandez' "Love & Rockets", then the multitude of characters would serve a better purpose. Also, Sin City has a similar glut of characters, so I'm interested to see how that turns out.

I'm still waitin' for him to do that Madman movie.

And, as a testament of my faith in the production being realized, until that day I will live my life in a completely normal fashion. Wish me luck and keep me in your prayers.

Just for the record, Sin City is going to be better than your mom.
