The first one was good. The second was some red-state homophobic crap.

hey, fuck you. The premise for the second one actually happened and I was just trying to explore how a straight person would feel about feminine attraction that wasn't typical. It didn't have anything to do with homophobia. I have a friend who's a lesbian and another is bi so take this watchdog bullshit and stick it where the sun doesn't shine.

Ooooh... You're so progressive. You have a lesbian friend. Do you give her fire-and-brimstone lectures about how she's going to Hell?

Dude, why does it matter WHO finds you attractive? It shouldn't matter if it's a hot chick, lesbian, gay dude, donkey or your great Aunt Fanny. Take it as a compliment and move on. Only someone who isn't comfortable with their sexuality would have such a knee-jerk reaction. I'm not gay, but if a gay guy said I was attractive I would be just as flattered as if a hot chick said the same thing.

PS: I was being kind when I said your first strip was good, btw. I should clarify that by saying it's good by your standard, but still not that funny by... well... almost anyone else's.

It's the difference between a mustang with no gas and a jalopy with barrels of it. If a girl who is straight says you're hot, it has the initial meaning plus something else. If a guy or a gay girl says you're hot, it's basic, and if you go from one to the other you lose that "something else". If you couldn't understand that, then there was no reason to post your own knee jerk rethoric as well.

Frankly I don't give a shit what you think was behind it. All I was looking for was if you thought it was funny or not. I pretty much got that. I also got the impression that you're too arogant to admit your ignorance, which is why you're trying to fall back on some sterotype of me with the "fire and brimstone" statement.

I knew that was shit when I wrote it. I thought you were a moron for saying it was good. The only reason I posted it was to fill out the thread so I could get comments on the second comic.

Unless you plan on banging every person who gives you a compliment on your looks, it shouldn't matter who says it. You should just see it your physical looks passing someone else's critique and no matter who says it, you should be flattered, because when it comes down to it a straight woman and a gay man probably have similar ideas of what constitutes a good looking person and what constitutes an ugly one.

Ya know, Nate... normally I would let a strip like your earlier one slide, but it's not like it's a unique example. What can I say... you have quite the undeniable track-record...

Nate, according to the American Psychological Association as well as the American Psychiatric Association, homosexuality is not a mental disorder. Nor does homosexuality correlate with mental disorder, a remarkable fact in light of the social stigma suffered by gays and lesbians.

As a matter of fact, gays and lesbians as a group have higher incomes and education levels than the general population, and to that extent, they are better-adjusted than most. This is why employers compete for them with perqs like domestic partner benefits, and why Disneyworld has "Gay Days." Note that the business sector was first in reaching out to gays and lesbians, not because corporations are politically correct watchdogs, but because it's good business.

The incidence of most, if not all, "mental disorders" (e.g., drug abuse) varies widely across cultures. Not so homosexuality. According to The Encyclopedia of Cultural Anthropology, the fraction of persons preferring exclusively same-sex partners is relatively stable across the anthropological record-- somewhere around 7%. This number does not vary much, despite social attitudes ranging from indifference to taboo. So it seems almost as if homosexuality is somehow part of God's Plan.

Lastly, heterosexuality and homosexuality are recently-minted concepts. In many other cultures, a person was not considered to "have" some mysterious "sexuality" that could was either AC or DC-- or with the innovation of Kinsey, somewhere in between. The idea did not exist except where the mode of production required a specific economic unit called the nuclear family.

Just FYI.

I saw an attractive guy today. You know what didn't cross my mind? "Damn, I'd like to see his sphincter".

Generally speaking, men like to stick their wangs in holes where available. The person who possesses the hole is (I hope) the attracive bit, not the hole itself.

When I see a good looking girl, I might think "I'd like to see her naked", but show me a close-up photo of her manky piss-flaps and I'll tell you to fuck off.

Although I'd keep the picture.

And cut a hole in it.

I watched plastic surgery live the other day, and was most amused by the operation to improve a m-f transexual's vagina. The best bit was when it cut to the studio to show Vanessa Feltz standing in front of three huge screens showing a close up of the beastly thing...

Boorite, none if this is news to me. In case anyone hasn't realized, the feelings on homosexuality comic was not even serious.

I've taken PSY101, I know this.

quote:
As a matter of fact, gays and lesbians as a group have higher incomes and education levels than the general population,

for the sake of argument, so do serial killers. 10% of Mensa's membership is in prison (but that stat is word of mouth so don't ask me to back it up.

But by whose definition? And it's not watchdogs that people need to watch out for, but private lawsuits against discrimination.

yup yup yup. That doesn't change my opinion that some guys get turned on by the thought of getting a piece of (male) ass. I can look at a guy and think "he's attractive". Shit, I think Harrison Ford, Clint Eastwood, and Brad Pitt are the sexiest men in Hollywood. That doesn't mean I wanna jump in the sack with them by any means. It's a different kind of attraction.
