I'm not sure how worthwhile this would be to most, but I think it would be neat to have Top lists of users with the most comics and posts. Basically, I'm a stats geek. Plus, it would give those who have contributed a lot of material to the site some props.

Just a thought.

It sounds good, but I'd rather be slightly good and largely unnoticed than be noticed and lumped in with the various non-donors that post comics like mad but don't have the sense of humor God gave a cabbage.

There are a lot of good writers here that don't make it to the Top-Rated list, but there are conversely a lot of people that simply shouldn't be allowed to attempt anything involving humor, like myself and mandingo.

Besides, putting a list of top posters would give mandingo and I validation for our bizarre post-battling.

I think this is a stupid idea, and I think HCRoyall clearly proves why. It would only serve to give some small recognition to people who aren't funny enough to make the toprated list, but have the spare time to sit and reply to every single post in the forums.

I certainly don't want to support anything that encourages nonsensical post diarrhoea or flooding your account with a stream of almost identical comics.

You know, you didn't have to be so hurtful when you agreed with me. XD

I've thought about this before, the way I'd like to see it done is to have conditions for people to appear- such as 3 (or 4) stars or better, and perhaps donors only. Doing this will give some guarantee that it won't be abused, because if people start abusing it their quality will drop and so will their rating (and if users who care about quality find out about them they could lose their ratings very quickly).

I'd also like the list to show the date that each user on there started making comics, and preferrably an average per day/year or month to give an indication of who's doing the most work.

I'd also suggest the list be limited to a certain number of people able to appear, and only update every once in a while if this has any impact on brad's systems (maybe monthly updates), it's not like the toprated list which works better updating every day.

Perhaps also lists for people that have the most comics in the top-rated list, people with the highest average score for all their top-rated comics (including any that don't score well enough to appear), and people who appear on the most favourites lists (set it to only count one entry per user on each list to avoid duplicates, and perhaps ignoring any favourits lists for people with less than 50 comics and less than 2 stars to avoid people making fake accounts with their own name in the favourites).

I'd also like to see a list of all people with 5 stars that have been rated by at least 5 people, then the same for 4 stars in a second list.

Just suggestions though.

Oh, perhaps also a highest/lowest post/comic ratio list as well.

And the reason that I'd use to justify the addition of these things to stripcreator is that you're not the only stats freak niteowl, and I think that it would help people navigate through the comics that are availabe based on what they're after, rather than the traditional "Ooh, that's an interesting name, I'll read that one" method.
