The donation service isn't automated. Brad has to come in manually and make magic happen to your account when he has an opportunity to.

There are other questions you might want the answer to in the FAQ though, so if you haven't read it yet this might be a good time to.

You'll get an email saying that you've reached donor status, and you'll have to log out and back in again to activate it. If the email address you signed up with is fake, and you can't get that message, then log out and in again periodically until you see the star next to your name.
