I thought they were okay, but not really my sense of humour, so I won't rate them bad or anything.

The reason some people get so many more replies seems to be simple. People like to jump on the newbies with 'helpful' comments like "they were so bad that I've just removed my eyeballs with a spatuala." If you don't get many replies, consider yourself lucky that you didn't get that kind of crap.
