When I wrote that punchline, I actually checked Texas state gun laws to see if the often mentioned "15 day waiting period" was true for my state. Turns out that was just the TV filling my head with nonsense. I thought everyone had a 15 day waiting period for some reason.
Turns out Texas has NO waiting period. Zero. Crime of passion, here I come!
And only ten hours of training to carry a concealed weapon! If I plan this right, I'm a week and a half away from double shoulder holsters everywhere I go. Rock.
