Ultimately, I would love to take a picture like this

and one of all the cast of office space, use photoshop to convert them to a type of pencil drawing and use them in stripcreator to make office space style cartoons.

not dilbert clones, but really more in the spirit of "I believe you have my stapler?"

I would need;
Milton
A Swingline Stapler
A different Stapler (black, generic)
Michael Bolton
Lumbergh
Smykowksi (The jump to conclusions guy)

And a Cubicle Background or two

I would be in hog heaven.

That's not really how it works around here, unless you are a huge donor or contributing the art yourself, arranging the copyright clearances, etc.
Instead, work within the limits we have.
A couple funny comics will establish which characters stand for who, and then you're good to go.
A few ideas:

I'm not sure what you just said.
Young timmy martin from north dakota? Intimately.
Otherwise no.

www.ytmnd.com

it stands for 'your the man now, dog" a line from Sean Connery movie.

if you are not familliar, with this its another GREAT form of art like strip creator in a way.

Here are some examples. its also free but accepts donations.

I think the same 'max' is the one who runs that site.

http://staplertendercrisp.ytmnd.com/

http://cagefightingchatter.ytmnd.com/

just three simple examples, some really brilliant stuff there.

That's the third time tonight that site has crashed my firefox, which otherwise never crashes. But yeah that was a great line from connery.

arbi...ytmnd doesnt like firefox. you have to download a quicktime plugin and do some stuff to make it work. I forget what though. mozilla help will tell you.

NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!
I don't think it will work. The whole YTMND concept is a completely different "artform" to the one stripcreator.com was designed to facilitate.

You're welcome to try to take some Office Space screenshots youself, edit them, and post the results in the Photshop Valley forum thread. That would impress me if you did that.

To address your original point, brad takes on new artwork once in a blue moon, and only original copyright free work.

I looked through some of those YTMND things, and they're mostly stupid.

But this is beautiful.

That was brilliant!

I love that site. I spent a week just downloading office space stuff. The lengths they go to do variations on a single theme like the one you have there, makes me laugh so hard.

what you have on those forums and that site, is the genesis of the future minds of comedy 10 years from now on TV and other forms of media.

Some of their YTMNDs have made national and global news. When the Tom Cruise on Oprah thing happened.
