Or Irfanview. Irfanview is a very good free program for doing stuff with pictures.

Hit "printscreen". Go to Paint or whatever. "Paste". Ta da.

for me print screen doesn't work, so i right click and hit save page as, resulting in foo.htm. then i tend to forget which of my programs can't handle .htm filetypes and never do much with it - i forget how i saved that one to photobucket.

press and hold the button directly above print screen. That is what you may be doing wrong.
