A friend of mine back home is getting a lot of shit. A friend of his went missing a week or so back. They just found her car a couple days ago. Why is he getting shit? Because he and several other friends of his are into bondage.
He put the word out to everybody to look for this girl when she first went missing. He's a full time student with more than a full schedule, and he took time out to put flyers up. He even chipped in for a reward if anybody could find her. And because he is into bondage, suddenly all these conservative assholes are claiming it was him that nabbed her.
Let me summarize the facts for you so you can understand more fully:
1. Pretty white girl
2. Walking alone at night
3. In a bad neighborhood
4. Never makes it home that night
5. Aside from her abandoned car miles away from where it was, there has been no sign of her.
I've known this guy for years. He's a weirdo, that's for sure, but he'd never hurt anybody. Unless they asked, but that's a different story.
Yet many people, who know nothing of him save what they have read on his LiveJournal profile, have decided that he is the culprit.

"X" does seem like an adventurous girl who was looking for an escape from her humdrum life & her overprotective father & babying mother. but unfortunately that's also probably why she ended up falling in with the likes of those two. the cops need to stop dilly-dallying & get on those guys. except their recent blogs & internet actions are very telling. fawley is removing all kinds of his stuff from the internet & cino & re-writing his. it's so suspiscious, i'm telling you. i hope they both end up behind bars because they are sexual predators on young girls & menaces to society as such for sure."
My friend has neither removed, nor rewritten anything, as this person claims. What he HAS done is make his material less available to the public through various measures so he can avoid the deluge of idiots posting anonymously just to accuse him of things.
I don't know what sort of asshole this guy is, but In all the pedophilia cases I've read about in the news, 90% of the culprits seemed completely normal to everyone until they were caught. So automatically his assumption that Bondage=Pedophilia proves him an idiot.
People make me fucking sick sometimes.
