I only ever rate people on their comics, however to get rated good by me you have to have made me laugh at least twice, Its a simple bar to cross and yet most new strippers on here fail even that, I tend not to give bad ratings out unless you are being an arsehole on the forums and your comics suck (usually these two coincide)
Most of the regulars on here are consistantly funny, and generally a good laugh in the forums. But then it depends what you want out of the site, if you're here to make comics for your own (and friends) amusement, dont bother with the forums, and certainly dont post your comics in RMDC because you're then asking to be judged and shouldnt complain if people dont find your shit funny. If you want to 'hang' out here, enter a few competitions, write some good comics and you'll find people will respect you more, but dont bitch just because you dont neccessarily agree with your rating, because there's a simple solution, write some funny comics, and quit being an ass.

(also note Ive not read your comics, nor have I rated you, but you do yourself no favours in whining about it, nor does this inspire me to read them in the future)

I just went through and read every single on. I didn't see one funny one in the bunch. The nail in the head was a very original concept, I can't believe no one else has ever done that. You really should be proud of those comics.

The user ratings are again a form of criticism, though in this case not only on your comics but on your behavior on the forums as well. What you don't seem to understand is that these ratings aren't like eBay feedback and can be changed any time a user feels like it.

You want good ratings? Stop being a whiny bitch and make some good comics. You don't see shank or Kaenash bitching about their low user ratings. And they are both better comic makers than you.

a lot of the comics on the toprated list i don't find all that funny, while others that are rated poorly are funny as shit to me

Hey, Syon. A few things.

1. Stripcreator has a ratings system. Therefore, people will use it. if they think your comics are bad, they'll call it like they see it. It's nothing personal. if anything, it's meant to inspire you to try a little harder or interact with the community a bit more. Me, personally, I don't like like giving star ratings that often unless it's a good one. I prefer to do comic-by-comic votes.

2. Bitching about getting a bad rating when it was given in earnest is a bad idea and just makes people look at you funny. You're obviously new here and haven't done much lurking. because, if you had looked at other people's accounts, you'd know a little bit about everyone's sense of humor, which is usually pretty abrasive. In other words, when someone rates you poorly and says their comics are better than yours, you're missing the joke and looking a little dumb for doing so. On the other hand, I hate people who give bad ratings for reasons other than criticism. (i.e. you made fun of me on the forum! BAD RATING TIME!)

3. I'm not wearing pants.

4. Do you like making these comics? If so, then keep making them. Do they make you laugh? Then keep making them. And, before long, star-rating or no, you'll be a full-fledged "stripper." Don't worry so much about what other people will think because being confrontational about it will just make people take an instant dislike to you.
