Not only will my sleep schedule be more in tune with the time back home, but there is absolutely NOTHING to do on night shift barring certain occasions. So I get to surf the web all night long.

Kuwait. I *was* working in strength management, now I sit around and take up space for twelve hours a day, or night in this instance. Ah, the joy of waiting to leave.

Surfing the net all night sounds interesting, but really working third shift sucks, in a big way. The only benefit is I get a 15% shift differential.

I miss working nights. I miss driving to and from work when no one was around, and shopping at the supermarket when there were no old ladies in my way. I would bare my teeth and snarl at the daywalkers whenever I had to see them, which was thankfully not often.

I used to do that too. Except, I worked 11-7, so I hit all the morning traffic.

It was a real pain trying to sleep during the day in the summer though.

I'd love a night shift for the pay and peace and quiet it brings. Unfortunately, I've discovered that no matter how many curtains I put up, how good a sleep mask is, or how many sleeping pills I take, there is no way I can get proper sleep during the day. My body just knows it's daytime and I should be up, despite how tired I am.

And it never fails that when I'm on days, my friends are on nights, and vice versa.

is that a fancy way of saying you worked in the gym? or did you just jump on missiles or something to make sure they wouldn't break

Actually I spent ten hours a day checking numbers on a spreadsheet against numbers on a database and making sure they added up. They never did. I hope that tells you something about the military accountability system.

Night shift defintly rawks. I love it, love it, love it. Plus it helps I'm always fully awake at that time no matter what.

Someone hacked blt's account. It's the only explanation. Why they'd want to is a completely different mystery.

I never did any counting. I fed them through an MS Access query and got my results that way. And they were civilians who never gave us the right information anyway, so we weren't all that concerned.
