Okay, there's probably a thread for suggesting backgrounds and character art, but I just had a briliant stroke of genius...

Grey, black, and white backgrounds. There could be famous scenes like from Casablanca or the void from The Twilight Zone. There could also be characters for each scene, also in black and white (like piano playing black guy or giant floating door). You could have a three panel comic, and the center panel could be a flashback... IN BLACK AND WHITE! Haha!

Of course, I can't draw for shit. I could scrape together some photos and use a color filter, but I'd have to leave formatting and such to someone else. Besides, anyone can use a color filter. I have a tomato that can use a color filter.

Oh. That takes care of the void.

I was thinking more of a shaded in approach to characters, since those are all black lines with empty space in between. They would be filled in with different shades (albeit all gray, black, and white). And a background that was filled with objects rather than stars and dark matter.
