I've finally put a quick page together to view comic comments on the site:

http://www.stripcreator.com/comiccomments.php

Hit that, type your username, select the time period to search for and click "submit query" and it'll show you a list of comments (if there are any).

If you don't specify a name it'll show you all the comments.

I'm still trying to figure out how to integrate this into the site best, but I figured I'd throw this online so the people who are interested can at least monitor their comic comments.

  It may seem silly to bring this back up now, but as long as a bunch of changes are going on, can we put an easy link to this search?  Right now if I want to search comments I first have to search for this thread so I can remember the URL.

  It can be linked from the search page... or wherever seems the most logical.

Also, you can bookmark your comments page and go straight to it.

Yes, but that would require work on my part.

   Also, people new to the site (or new donors) might want to know that that feature is available.

I would also like to be able to get to this feature easier. I have to search for a different post than this one, find a post biped makes in that psot and click the link and follow it. Is there some sort of secret reason for hiding this feature that I don't know about?

I'm still trying to figure out where to put it exactly and what form it should take. Suggestions?

It could go in the search category. Maybe a link on the users homepage to view comments on their comcis. A Comment search next to Stripcreator Chat and forum search. It could be squeezed in lots of places.

I've been sort of holding out for a way to simply notify users of new comic comments rather than having them do a search for them. But the processing for that is kind of intense.

Notification would be cool, but I don't really think it's necessary. As long as there's a link somewhere, that's fine. I usually search for comments daily and on other users as well.

The new comments link is badass. But how will crabby add himself to his favorites any more? Good show.

Now that no one can do it, it just makes it even more special that I already have.

The fact that everyone seems to think this is a new feature underlines my point that we probably need an easy-to-find link to the comment search page somewhere.

 How about linking it from the comic search page?

I had a thought today... How about "comic commentary"? Underneath our comics, we could have a little box where we could explain maybe just what the hell we were thinking when we made this comic, or maybe if it's a reference to an injoke or something in real life that the users in this community normally wouldn't get? It sounds a bit cheesy now that I'm actually typing it out, but it could be a neat idea... Or it could just add more clutter to our "view comics" page. Either way, I kinda like the idea...

  You can already do that by posting a comment on your own comic.
