I never said I wasn't a nerd. Though I prefer my games to look as little like real life as possible. None of this 3D, panoramic, superpixellated environment for me. I prefer stick figures like Kingdom of Loathing or grayscale boxes like my GameBoy Tetris. And that's about all I play these days. Sometimes I play Ocean Bound, which is a cheesy, simple game that's so simple an 8 year old can do it, but I haven't played it in over a year.

Oh wait, technically I'm not really an RPG nerd then (though I do find Penny Arcade funny most of the time).

Carry on with the hate.

some RPGs are ok : Squaresoft hasn't done me wrong yet... with the obvious exception of FFX-2...

i love KOTOR and many others of the genre, but Elder Scrolls has always seemed to me WAY too open-ended and way too detail-oriented. This tends to make you lose out on the ever-important STORY part of the game.

ojcme March 27, 2006 8:41 PM	I actually enjoyed Oblivion. Japanese RPGs are boring as all hell, and so are linear ones. Then again, I'm mostly a FPS player, so I like shooting things.

if it let you have freedom to do what you want in a virtual world, you bitch about that.

if its not playing 'football' virtually, you call it faggoty, because 'football' is real and magic isn't, so by joggling the joystick and a football player moving, it makes you more of a man.

I never said I was more of a man for playing football games. I like sports games cause you can pick them up and play and not have to worry about any story. And I like sports. Do associate liking sports with being manly? Id it because all those jocks beat you up in high school and refused to believe your warlock powers?

I even went so far as to mention the RPG's I played. Newer RPG's which were totally open ended. And for the record I loved Sword of Vermillion. If anything makes me manly its the fact that I love sword of vermillion so much.
