I'm in the the market for a new TV and entertainment system and was wondering if any of you had any advice. I want a new HD ready TV between 60-70". The prices have come down considerably and I must have one! Any advice or preferences?

Buy one that shoots lasers. I think the brand is "Laser Jesus LCD."

I say get a projection monitor with progressive scan, whatever that means.

I'm a fan of the rear projection.

Plasmas require plasma replacement every few years, consider that as a con when you're making up your list for comparison.

I think the best bang-for-your-buck is front projection. It gives me a 90" HD display for two grand. I bought an NEC and I love it. Oooo, and as an added treat, NEC has a tool that pushes my computer display to it over ethernet or wireless so I can nerd out on the sofa.

I had a 15 inch TV/VCR combo and then I upgraded to a 25 inch. One day, I was watching the pretty HD TVs in a store and it occurred to me that they were so pretty, I was ruining my TV watching experience at home and I couldn't afford something cool like HD TVs. So I screamed "JESUS CHRIST!" and turned around.

And came face-to-face with a priest.

No. I snicker and think something like "I'll project YOUR rear" or something equally as dumb. It's to make up for all the high-brow jokes I make during the rest of the day.
