I tried to create a new set from this comic: www.stripcreator.com/comics/Injokester/352860/ and the one immediately before it, and got the error message:

Fatal error: Allowed memory size of 8388608 bytes exhausted (tried to allocate 395010 bytes) in /home/httpd/vhosts/stripcreator.com/httpdocs/createset.php on line 252

Tech problems turn me on.
I'm sorry, that didn't help.

It's now a month later, and I'm still getting this error:

Fatal error: Allowed memory size of 8388608 bytes exhausted (tried to allocate 171 bytes) in /home/httpd/vhosts/stripcreator.com/httpdocs/createset.php on line 248

I've also had some other problems with sets- it seems you can only have a limited number of comics per set if you're adding them after they're created (but can have as many as you like when you create them), although when you add a comic to a set that's already 'full' it still says it's added.

Any chance of having this fixed, or at least finding out what's going on?

I've now deleted almost all of my sets and it's still happening.

It sounds like there is possibly some sort of problem.

I'll try to look into this once my power stops going off every ten minutes.

Try getting more rest before you create a set.

Looks like it's trying to load your list of comics and is running out of memory. Not quite sure how to fix that at this point, hmm...

I added a 100 comic limit to the initial comic listing display. Does that fix the error for you Injokester?

Yep, seems to be working. Thanks for that!

I'll have to figure out a better way to start sets that doesn't involve listing all the comics that a user has then.

If you do then it might be worth considering doing the same for when people view comics, I've found that the more comics I've made the slower it takes for each one to load- It's currently about 5 seconds a comic.

I was pretty sure I took care of that a while ago -- it caches your comic lists now rather than re-loading from the database each page load.

It's still pretty slow. I tried logging in with my old account and everything was lightning quick.
