Fuck, you people are harsh.

Not the best strip I have seen, but it was amusing.

Sorry, I thought this was the "Read My Damn Comics" forum, not the "Flame Me Whether I Deserve It Or Not" forum.

I don't know... maybe the people who mercilessly bashed a comic that was better than most of the first strips posted in this forum? If you read really closely, you will see that I was defending a newbie against two really unwarranted attacks, as opposed to mindlessly savaging any newbie that comes within biting distance. There is a subtle difference...

Hey, I didn't have a problem with that comic. I loved the third panel.

The people who did taunt the newbie make strips quite worse than that I'm sure.

A damn fine use of the exploding dog guy in the 3rd panel, but I wasn't very excited by the first two. Keep trying, though... you're onto *something.* Just figure out what.

Well, perhaps some constructive criticism would've been better. I guess I just find it easier to mock something outright.

I'll be the first to admit that many of my strips are worse than that one, but I wouldn't advertise them as "good".

I judge the quality of my strips on the basis that Crabby has more in the Crappy comics thread than i do.

Okay, I wouldn't even say some of mine were an attempt at being good. Er.
I'm fighting a losing battle here, aren't I? Sorry, Scid. I take it back. It's not a comic which amused me much, but the last panel raised it above many others on the forum.

They should get DexX into the peace talks in Gaza. There'd be harmony in no time.

I make crappy ones just to put there. Most of those comics were made when I was a newbie troll trying to annoy everyone with my antics. I admit to my crapiness, I also have a few hidden gems in my comics list though

For the sake of peace once more reigning supreme , i shall retract my earlier statement , acknowledging it was a comic which the author perhaps found amusing , but which did not cause me to raise a laugh , although i am certain many will find it amusing.

Note : At what point do we have to start being nice about comics we dont like simply because we dont know the author?

You could just ignore them rather than just taunting them for no real reason. He wasn't looking for trouble like say a deisel, he was just posting a comic he made.

The Crabbycentric model is one among many permutations of Quasi-Objective Valuation Theory, which was a concept introduced by Einstein to help explain how special relativity applied to the Three Stooges. Just as JrnymnNate appeals to the Bible's Book of Carrottop and St. John's sermon on limericks, we all seek a common 'objective' source from which our subjective mirth may be justified. For some, this objective meter is merely the approval of a perceived social group with whom they identify. For others, objective acceptance is less important, although their own construction of wit is informed by their interaction with society at large and thus is shaped by that stimulus. For Gabe, it is the approval of Murphy, his dog, that he seeks. Murphy likes everything, so that explains Gabe's large comic and post counts. I can't believe you read this far into this paragraph. Sucker. Personally, I would have bailed out at that pretentious "construction of wit" part. I don't really have a point to make here. And there's no punchline at the end. I just had some time to kill and nothing better to do. That's it. Show over. G'night.

Thanks. It's nice to see people reading my damn comics, and not think of them a waste of their time.

I'm Belgian (the land of René Magritte), and in my country, we're great fans of absurd humor. That's what shaped my sense of humor into what it is right now. I actually liked the second panel of my strip best.

I don't actually mind negative criticism. I've had enough positive criticism in the past to be able to put those in the proper perspective. I've even had one of my freeware adventure games reviewed. I'll try and plug the zip and review into a later post :)

Once more - thanks you for your kind words,
Byebye.
