Hi there! I've been lurking around these forums since early September and thought I would say hello.

You guys crack me up! :)

Oh well, incidentally, I remember a post where one stripcreator was excited about seeing TMBG in concert - just saw them Saturday night and they kicked ass! :)

See ya.

I'll pretend that compliment applies to me too instead of *just* the funny people here.

I'll read your stuff soon, but I'm a little busy at the moment.

I took time out of my busy schedule to read your four comics. Not bad at all, and you have a distinctive style.

I physically groaned at all four of those comics, and the first one nearly made me curl into the fetal position.

Keep up the good work. :)

*gawrsh*

Thanks guys... I think my style is going to be "two liners I've horked from people that are actually funny". ;)

The only one I actually came up with is the one Mr. Dougan posted... right on.

Good idea. He can't possibly be worse than Animal Crackers.

The Taxi Driving Glaswegian is so bad , it makes Shuggie and Duggie look like it was written by Dickens.

It's pretty bad, but I maintain that Animal Crackers is worse. Why they got rid of Dilbert I'll never know.

TBH , the greatest newspaper in history would be one which could contain Peanuts , Garfield and Dilbert on the one page.

Three varieties of GENUINELY FUNNY humour in one page.

I'd rather have Calvin and Hobbes than Garfield.

Also, the newspaper's news coverage and commentary might have some bearing on its standing as the best in history.

Actually , ill always give it that in terms of its news coverage , as almost every time i read the Sun or the Record (in particular the record) i see a degree of gutter journalism that disgusts me.

You recall a few years back when they tried to wreck Andy Gorams career with that set of Loyalist stories?

They didnt mention anywhere in the paper that theyd just lost a libel action to him to the tune of £100k.

Ho ho ho. Journalistic Integrity my sweet fanny adams.

Definitely. And their political coverage is so pro-Labour it's not real. And after they "exposed" Firsat Dag as an illegal immigrant, they spent about a week defending this stupid story. Then when it came out that they had actually been completely incorrect, they strangely stopped talking about the issue. Didn't even print a retraction, so far as I could see.

And who can forget their over the top biased election coverage, with the Tony Blair in the "Britain Needs You" pose.

I've never really read the Sun, but my enlightened friends seem to think it's even worse.

Think of the Record as "The Gutter Press taking itself seriously"

Think of the Sun as "The English gutter press pretending to be Scottish , and taking themselves WAYYYYYYYY too seriously"
