I am new here, so forgive me for my amatuer comic making skills. I literally just found this site an hour or two ago out of boredom and am still experimenting. I made this comic based on the recent pronouncement by NASA of working on a permanent moon base establishment with construction starting in 2024.  I realize it isn't the greatest comic of all-time, but hey, I'm new. Hate it, or love it, it doesn't really matter to me. I just figured I would post it here for some feedback. /comics/italianmafia23/376604/ And, for those who don't get it, the point of the comic was to make fun of George Bush and his terrible speaking ability...

It's pretty good, at first I just thought Bush was controlling a little Alien colony and telling them to speak funny just so it would look more Alienesque, but now you tell us that its actually taking the piss out of Bush...

Next time, try making it more obvious what your trying to portray so that viewers don't get the wrong idea. That way you will also get a better laugh.

Nonsense.  It was a perfectly silly situation ruined by a ham-handed injection of political dogma.  There are about a billion ways to end this set-up better than a cheap shot at the president.  (Especially since he's such an easy target you look extra dumb if you screw up.)

  Also:

 Too much text in the third panel.  The alien can say something witty without having to use that many words.

 The use of direct address in the thought bubble in the first panel is confusing.  Who is he thinking, "You dumbass" at?  Replacing it with an exclamatory statement such as "What a dumbass!" would be much less confusing.

What I meant with the thought bubble in the first panel coming from the alien was what he was trying to say. Basically, the thought bubble is a translation. The second panel is what actually came out of his mouth...
