Now, this could just be stupidity on my end, but when I try to join IRC (both using the Java on SCIRC and mIRC), it won't connect me because "all connections are in use".

Is it something to do with IRC, or is it exclusive to my computer and I should look into what's causing the problem on my end?

There's a really stupid way that I avoid this conflict. I go to the chatjunkies website, click on one of the "top channels" in the list at the bottom of the page on the left side, and it automatically starts mIRC in that room. Then I close out of the room and join #stripcreator, since it's on the same server.

And, I have to say, I never see anyone in any of these top channels.

I had some weird issues too with connecting. I'd end up in a blank #stripcreator chatroom with no one in it while boorite would end up in the one with everyone and vice versa. For some reason, it doesn't really show "irc.chatjunkies.org" as the address anymore and we'd end up connected to random locations. So far, I found that if you replace the irc.chatjunkies.org with "cousteau.tx.us.chatjunkies.org" it works fine.

Yeah, I had a lot of blank chatrooms happening... hence why I just haven't been going on.

I think I might have fixed the issue today.

Problem seems to be irc.chatjunkies.org fails a lot and I didn't have the fallback to nl.chatjunkies.org. It's in the Java IRC config now.

people still use chat rooms?

Both my trillian IRC and JAVA interface are never able to connect anmore =(

Trillian connected fine, I'm currently in IRC.

My trillian usually takes 3-5 trys before it gets going.
