This are good--I mean, a good comics.  You need to tell them the story must be told.  As Criswell said in PLAN 9 FROM OUTER SPACE, this is a story must be told.

I always wanted to do a strip series based on a superhero called 'the human catapult' (THC). He was so-called because he was missing both his arms so from a distance he looke like an upside-down 'Y' slingshot.

He is invulnerable to half/full nelsons but the flipside of the coin in that he is susceptible to guys walking down te stairs while punching his face.
