A little poll:

I was just in the parking lot at the rum store when Danzig came on my satellite radio, which I've had for four months but only just now caused me to fucking sit there and rock my socks off. Like zoned-out eff the police rocking out. When's the last time you did that, and to what song? I don't mean like you heard something you liked or had a good time while some tune was playing, I mean ROCKED - like the next day you looked at all the empty squares of tin foil and were like 'we dropped all those last night?!' Rocked like that.

Just today. I was listening to some song by the Sleepytime Gorilla Museum which totally rocks. They are going to be in Fort Worth on Tuesday at the Wreck Room and I WILL BE THERE.

The best time was when I saw Van Halen at the Armadillo World Headquarters in Austin, between the release of their first and second albums.  Michael Anthony was doing a long bass solo and ended it by playing the first eight notes of "Runnin' With The Devil" with his teeth.  In the same concert Eddie played "Eruption" and kept looking at us with a big smile on his face, like he couldn't believe it either.  That night was just about my biggest rock out ever.

The other night I rocked out so hard that fucking Slash knocked on my door at 3:00 AM and told me I might want to take it down a notch. A friend of mine was doing so much blow that he literally arced out and burst into photons right before my eyes. The rest of just laughed and started rockin' twice as hard as before. Then the cops tried to shut us down. We must have taken out seven or eight police cruisers with firebombs before the night was through. It was crazy.

Every time I hear Ministry's "Stigmata," I want to break shit. Kick something till it busts.

I saw Daft Punk live at a festival last night. They have a giant pyramid made out of lights and I was leaping about like a buffoon to the entire set.

Biped has given us a glimpse of his/her true age. If this is indeed a true story. It just doesn't have the ring of truth that his Abe Lincoln essay did.

I trust biped's essay on Abe Lincoln.  I think he was there.

It's the weekend! I'm going to rock out with my cock out. Y'all might want to back up two or three feet.

Rock without irony has become impossible. Any pretense to authenticity on the part of rock musicians, critics, or fans can today signify only one thing: fraud. And that is why I have filled my iPod with accordion music.

Rock is the devil's music anyway. So I fill my iPod with Satan and cut out the middle man.

Accordions rock.  Almost as good as harpsichord music.

What's the use? All the best clavichord players die in bus accidents anyway.

Coincidentally, I was rollin' in my 6Fo' the other night when Danzig's "Twist of Cain" came on and Rocked My Freaking Brain Off! I don't even remember how I made it home from the grocery store, uh, whorehouse.
