Can I ask why the highest-rated "Recently Popular" comic shows a creation date of December 2001? If not, then I won't.

Because it's been it's been rated recently. New people have found it an rated it... high. I don't know how else to desribe it

I guess I was ascribing to the 'recently popular' concept some envisioned stiupulation that if there are 'recently popular comics' then there must logically be 'unrecently popular comics'. The setup of the current TopRated Page setup did not intuitively answer this for me, probably because I'm stupid and insane. Can an otherwise 'top rated comic' receive a surge of Good votes in our most recent month and make it to the 'recently popular' side? If so, what is the needed amount of votes, and in what short period of time? One month, as it was previously/otherwise known? Or is any comic that has enough votes (over five) to be considered automatically put up there if its high ratings warrant it? And do those five votes have to come within one month, or is a 'last month's most popular comic/recently popular comic' considered to be such because it came into popularity within the last month? And is it last month, or within the last 30 days?

How come my 8.75 comics with 4 votes aren't showing up on the top-rated page?

To avoid punishing the database, the toprated page only updates itself twice a day.  Check back in 12 hours and then complain again.

Well, it's been that way for several days now.

And "complain"?  Moi?

You need five votes or more for it to appear anywhere on the left side of Top Rated. Brad is just toying with your emotions by letting you see when you are teetering on the edge of superstardom with a paltry four votes.

But if they only recently became top-rated, then shouldn't they be in the recently top-rated column on the right, which only requires four votes to qualify?

Never mind--they all just got downvoted into oblivion.
