well that didn't work.

i got nabbed by one of those traffic cams that sends you a pic and ticket a month after you get caught speeding.

now all i need is a ski mask and a can of spray paint and vengeance will be mine.

So what, are they gonna prosecute you for that, or just send you Flickr links?

I really expected this hidden cam pic of a guy jerking it in a public library.

What are these license points things I always hear about? Is it like collecting soda bottle caps to turn in for shitty logo'd merchandise?

I think the points have to do with your insurance rates or something.

We have that... For every year that you have a clean driving record, you get a point, which is 2% off insurance. If you're ever in the negatives, you owe monies!

Not sure how the system is in the States, though. Our insurance is through one government owned company.

It might vary from state to state, but in VA each traffic offense gives you so many points.  The points go away after three years have passed since the event that got you the points in the first place, but if you get more than a certain amount in three years time, (15, I think) DMV takes your license away.

And this is just for people who occasionally get pulled over, not the ones who get a speeding ticket every other week.

you get 10 points in ohio and BAM, your license is gone.

you can get a couple of points back by taking one of those 'bloody mess behind the wheel' highway patrol safety courses, but other than that you're fucked.

and it drives your insurance rates through the fucking roof.

In Australia you get 12 points. For something like speeding, you lose 2 points, I think.

Also on long weekends lose lose twice as many points and have to pay double. It's funny when one time my family + another family tried to fit in one car, so one of us wasn't wearing a seatbelt and we got caught. Then the driver tried to dispute it in court and got fucked over even more.
