evil_d said something about this over in the CC, so here it is:

  • Post whatever games you have and are playing currently.

Myself: I play Tribes 2 and Decent 3. I have and used to play AOK.(this is a small percentage of my games- but these are the good ones).

I like the one with the clowns, the trebuchet, and the active volcano.

I don't play computer RPGs very often... just console.

Right now, I'm playing Metal Gear Solid. Aside from the presentation, I really don't know what's so special about this game that made everyone cum in their pants over it.

I'm thinking of picking up Dragon Warrior 7 next... or maybe Front Mission 3.

Here's the previous video games thread. More about which you like than which you're playing now. My answer to both questions is still too long to bore anyone with.

    Everquest
    Diablo II
    RollerCoaster Tycoon
    Hollywood Mogul
    games at Pogo.com
    games at Uproar.com

I play all of these with semi-regularity.
(I get as much fiber as I can.)

    And what is "AOK"?

Right now, all I'm playing is Team Buddies and a demo of Twisted Metal 2.

Hey, if you like the TM series at all... or if you don't like it, check this out. It's the LIVE ACTION endings to Twisted Metal 1, which were taken out of the game...

I just bought a PS2. I have heard a lot about GTA3 but it wasn't in stock anywhere on the day I bought my PS2. So far, all I have is Madden 2002 (fun), Twisted Metal: Black (very fun), and Gran Turismo 3 (yawn)...

Yeah... Grand Turismo 3 is very pretty, but at some point the urge to just blow the opposing cars out of the damn way is all-consuming (much like in real life). Now if it had a 'Tank' cheat like GTA3, maybe it would be a keeper. [Normally I don't use cheats, but who can resist? Its a tank FFS.]

I've heard Madden 2002 is great, but (having taken the vow of Geekhood) the controller burns my hand every time I try to play it.

    Let's see...

Playing through Aliens vs Predator again, and it is still a masterpiece.

Recently got Carmageddon II: Carpocalypse Now out again, and it also is still a masterpiece.

I got a few games in a pack when I finally got around to buying AvsP, but the only one that has grabbed me is Delta Force (not the sequel, but the amazingly ugly original). Damn ugly, but a lot of fun, despite the dubious politics.

I am still playing Black & White periodically, now that I have a PC that can run it satisfactorily.

I got to the last mission of Thief 2: The Metal Age a couple of months back, and for some reason I am yet to finish it.

Playing through the single player game in Unreal Tournament on and off again, as well.

Damn, I really must finish a few of these...

I'm totally addicted to Settlers of Catan. I play it online at http://settlers.cs.northwestern.edu/ on a daily basis.

It's down today. There's a backup program I use to find games, but it, too, is down. I'm jonesing in a bad way.

    *sigh*

I play games, surf the 'net, and get outdoors every day.

I hardly ever play games. I've completed all the pre-VIII Final Fantasies, and that's enough for a lifetime.

Me and my cousin beat this game in a trailer park arcade when we were ten years old! It is an extremely easy game, but it is still fun. Who do you usually play as?

    Archon!
    archon was the best!
and archon 2, kind of, though i was never sure what caused the sudden death apocalypse mode...
oooh... and that apocalpyse game with the helecopter...
ooh...! and that helecopter game, super huey....
OOOOOOH! and that game with huey, donald duck's playground...
ending that stream of consciousness abruptly,
archon, and by extension the C64, was the awesomest system ever to grace this earth...
i weap that my children, purely hypothetical ones at that, will never know what it is to have to leave that extra ",1" off the end of the load function, or else the whole thing goes kerplowie!

Arcade? Easy? It's a PC 3D shooter, came out in 1999, and its sales were hurt because it is so fucking hard.
