so Marc Cuban was in the club tonight. yup, the owner of the Dallas Mavs who are playing the Cavs in their home opener tomorrow.

according to Forbes magazine this man is one of the top 100 wealthiest men in the world, with a net worth of an estimated 2.5 billion. yes, Billion.

did he tip commeasurate with his wealth? no. on a $130 tab he tipped $50, which is over the established 20%, but considered as a whole with the net worth of the individual, paltry.

it just goes to show that rich people, i mean TRULY rich people kinda suck ass.

he was the first billionaire i've had to deal with, and while he was a very personable guy to deal with, i expected more from someone who could literally buy Cleveland.

guess old habits die hard....

eat the rich!

You should have rolled the son of a bitch in the back alley and made off with the five or six hundred million dollars rolled up in his left sock.

At least he didn't rape your mother while paying off the authorities to look the other way. That's how my run in with Trump went like back in the early 80's.

I don't know that I would change my spending habits if I were wealthy either. If he went around throwing money around all the time, would he really be worth billions any longer? Additionally, are the girls at your club really worth tipping more for? I don't think we ever got an answer to that question.

The thing about rich people... they don't get to be rich by giving $1000 tips.  Yes, old habits die hard.

At least he wasn't a prick enough to tip 15% or less.

true. since things have been so slow lately due to the enacting of the "stripper bill" i guess i was just hoping like hell he'd throw some money around.

sigh.

Awwwwwww no billions for you.

I'm sure Cuban made all his money through tips too. Keep up the good work.

Cuban's probably pinching his pennies since he's trying to buy the Cubs. Ernie Banks alone is expected to go for about 500 mil.

though $50 on a $130 bill is about 40%, which seems pretty good to me. but what do i know, i tip in Chuck E. Cheese tokens

If I were a billionaire, I would shoot the waiters for fun and get away with it.  That would be my tip.

you can do that now with busboys. police treat dead busboys like dead drug dealers. "just another dead busboy"

If you want to tip a busboy, leave $1 under your plate. If he doesn't find it, at least you'll tip the dishwasher ... or the landfill.

If you want to tip a busboy, walk up to them and hand them the cash. If a busboy gets caught taking any money off a waiter's table..."just another dead busboy."

Please tip the busboys.

Tipping in coupons is way better. Then you can personalize the insult by choosing which coupons to give them. There's so many coupons for make up and hair products in every Sunday paper, it would be quite easy to give someone a complex. Bonus if you find a slim fast coupon to accompany them.

who in their right mind would buy the Cubs?

you'd have to be from Chi-town, I guess.

Cubs fans always amaze me with their die-hard attitude. The Cardinals couldn't draw flies this season - and that's with a brand new bajillion dollar stadium!  The Cubs play at Wrigley, which hasn't changed all that much in decades and their fans take off work to come see day games. That's hardcore.

They go to drink Old Style and act trendy. Nobody who goes to Wrigley Field actually watches the game.

I bet your first experience having your dignity assailed by a billionaire refusing to give proper monetary compensation for servies rendered is very different from Mandingo's first experience having his dignity assailed by a billionaire refusing to give proper monetary compensation for services rendered.

Cubs fans are actually some of the most knowledgable baseball fans around. opposing players talk about how when they go to Wrigley with uniforms that have the number but no name on them, they still get heckled by name from Cubs fans there, one of the only places this happens on the circuit, apparently. compare this to Cardinals fans who don't heckle opposing players by name even if it is on their jerseys. but in their defense, this is because most Cardinals fans can't read

I agree.

in retrospect i was naive to think this guy might give me a bunch of money for essentially just doing my job.

i had 2 electrical (linesmen) workers in tonight that might make 80K a year tip me $50 each to find them hot chicks to waste their money on. go figure.
