I don't know if this has been done before or not and, frankly, don't care either. I haven't seen it, therefore it must not exist.
But I thought, "What the hell. I'm drinking ridiculously powerful beer, tainting my lungs with nature's goodness and dabbling with something made in a bathtub, what could possibly go wrong?"
Thus the (newly, possibly reborn) Annual Stripcreator Awards were created, or, quite conceivably, re-created.
If I'm any judge, people should feel free to nominate one SC'er for each category sometime before Xmas. Then from Xmas to New Year, vote for the SC'er they would like to see win each category.
Does that sound simple? I can't tell anymore...
So fuck it, here's the categories that came to mind (please add more, I'm handicapped here...), as well as my nominee for said stuff in a totally random order.
[I would also like to note that these are snap, drunken decisions, and i reserve the right to, after researching certain shit, reevaluate my choices. We should also narrow this down by judging primarily on on the merit of stuff created this year (where applicable)]
BEST NOOB: Deathtoradio. I looked for someone who came in with strong skills and actually stayed around for more than a month and continued to make really good comics
FAVORITE STRIPPER: Mandingo. Hands down, this is the asshole I find funniest on a consistent basis. Prick.
LIFETIME ACHIEVEMENT AWARD: Injokester. The art. The Morning Coffee. The advice. The problem solutions. Need I say more? (I hold Brad more or less as the Deity of SC, and therefore beyond the judgement of mortals.)
BEST COMIC SERIES: Fuck. Tough one. Going strictly from memory of recent series, i gotta go with Phil The Wonder Rapist by The young scot. Funny fuckin shit.
MOST LIKELY TO CATCH AN EMBARRASSING SOCIAL DISEASE: Mattmallone. I think he might be a slut...
COMIC OF THE YEAR: I don't think I'm alone when i say No No...After You by Hatrix is my pick.
FORUM ABUSER OF THE YEAR: This was a tough one between Zaster, Lucky Guess, and Boorite. In the end I chose Zaster because he wears a fucking bear suit.
Ah, fuck. I'm done. I know there are more categories out there, but I'm too damn buzzed to think of them.
