I quite enjoyed the Ruler of Mars series. You have a lot of unnecessary dialogue in your comics, particularly in the third panel. All this does is detract from the punchline, or in some cases, completely hide it or ruin the climax of the joke. Before you submit your comics, take some time and read over them a couple times; make sure that any dialogue is absolutely necessary and get rid of anything that isn't.

It's funny because of what it leaves to the reader's imagination -- it doesn't spell out what it doesn't need to. And it's quick. The second and third panels, in contrast, are slow and obvious. So... write more stuff like the first panel and less stuff like the rest.

I found "It's Thanksgiving in Canada" to be quite humorous. The others posted since I last looked at this thread were kind of bland though. I still think you're trying to overthink your jokes, or maybe not thinking them through enough. It's like you're aiming for "Funny" but only getting grazing shots. Spend some time reviewing the toprated list and get a feel for the formulae that work and then try to modify one of those techniques for your own use.
