This comic is about two co-workers who work together in a beer store. One is about 8 years younger than the other thus the old man jokes. the star trek reference is just to over exaggerate the extent of the banter going on between the two employees. I am surprised such savvy comic writers like the two who posted above had difficulty understanding this comic.
